Projects, similar to AIS Archeograf:

  1. Jardis 2000. The JADIS system is currently used by the Jordanian Department of Antiquities (JDOA) as well as archaeologists and historians working in Jordan to store and retrieve information about archaeological sites, from the Paleolithic period through the modern era. The database was originally developed by Dr. Gaetano Palumbo in the early 1990s, at the American Center of Oriental Research (ACOR).
  2. TimeMap. TimeMap TMJava is a novel mapping applet which generates complete interactive maps with a few simple lines of html. It provides a way of easily enriching web pages with historical or contemporary information that goes far beyond static jpg map images. It's easy for beginners, yet provides completely customisable power and distributed backend database connectivity for the expert. It's free for personal use.
  3. COFLEIN. Coflein is the online database for the National Monuments Record of Wales (NMRW) - the national collection of information about the historic environment of Wales. Coflein contains details of many thousands of archaeological sites, monuments, buildings and maritime sites in Wales, together with an index to the drawings, manuscripts and photographs held in the NMRW archive collections.
  4. Plot (also called NewPlot)
Plot is a Windows based GIS for working with piece provenienced artifact data (replaces the CC-Plot DOS program). It allows a user to map any group of squares or levels, to color code the map by artifact type or level, and to link the artifacts on this map to their respective records in associated tables.
  5. ArcTron Co. - Software for Archaeology and Heritage. ArchaeoCAD is an application for AutoCAD, from AutoDesk. ArchaeoMAP and ArchaeoDATA 2004 (an application for MS Access 2000) can be used to create archaeological mapping, a process which is largely automated. The resulting mapping can then be transferred to ArchaeoDTM and used to generate three dimensional terrain models.
  6. AZP_Max 2002. The following computer programs have been developed in Poznan Archaeological Museum to assist basic archaeological work, and heritage management work in particular.
  7. Proleg StratiGraf is the complete framework for field archaeologists that allows you to record, document, analyse and interpret archaeological sites. It integrates in a single place field registration data, photography, bibliography, artifacts inventory, the archaeological drawing and the harris matrix, creating thus, a real Digital Model of the excavation . The model provides you with a vision of what the site is really like and therefore the ability to act and interpret based on totally reliable information.
