AIS Archeograf (ARDB). About.

AIS Archeograf is an archaeological information system for archaeological sites registering, analysing and digital mapping. First of all the system has been developed to help archaeologists process archaeological data and output sites arrays to a GIS.

AIS Archeograf structure allows register and describe sites in a standalone program and output selected sites to a GIS for analising. The system includes information chapters: names, categories, administrative and geographic location, chronology, cadaster, bibliography, archive references and links to MEDIA files. Each chapter has its own descriptive algorithm.

Special efforts have been done to develope dinamic link with a GIS and configure variables for individual demands. Due to its specificity archaeological data must have spatial binding, that allows processing large amount of archaeological data with usage of digital mapping. This function is available due to known geographic coordinates of each site.

Beside basic sites registering and mapping features Archeograf includes science research functions, complex data search, sites report making and cultiral heritage features.

Help system is updated permanently and author excuses for possible help releases delays.
